The Nunhead Gardener is looking for a confident, organised and passionate Store Manager to lead our flagship garden centre in Nunhead. We’re a family-run group of garden shops across South East and Central London, known for our friendly, knowledgeable teams and beautifully curated spaces. Each of our stores is a vibrant local hub, and Nunhead is where it all began.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and developing a small, close-knit retail team
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, including stock management, merchandising and customer service
- Driving sales and maintaining our high visual standards
- Creating a welcoming, plant-loving atmosphere for our community of loyal customers
- Working closely with our operations and buying teams to ensure smooth seasonal changeovers
- Supporting recruitment, rotas and team training
- Championing our brand values in-store
What we’re looking for:
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a retail team
- A genuine passion for horticulture (plant knowledge is a big plus!)
- Proactive, hands-on approach – no two days are the same
- Confident decision-making, with great organisational skills
- Someone who thrives in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment
