PURPOSE OF THE ROLE To support and drive planning, purchasing and replenishment activities for a specific category or department, working closely with Category Procurement teams to optimise sales performance, stock levels and profitability. The role proactively supports the Supply Chain Manager in the daily execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and contributes to team projects and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage stock intake, replenishment and availability for a category, department or selected brands in line with defined KPIs.
- Forecast and plan demand in collaboration with procurement, suppliers and logistics to maximise availability while minimising stock investment.
- Control and manage replenishment and stock management requirements for key areas and specific category projects.
- Support the Supply Chain Manager in driving the Supply Chain Strategy on a daily basis.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with procurement, retail, space planning, suppliers and logistics at the appropriate level.
- Provide support to the Global Supply Chain team as required.
- Support, develop and coach Assistant Planner roles, contributing to effective team working.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent computer literacy, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities.
- Proactive mindset with high levels of initiative, ownership and drive.
- Experience working with merchandising and replenishment systems; JDA or SAP experience is preferable.
- Previous experience in high-volume retail environments, with confidence managing a large and complex SKU range.
- Solid experience in OTB and/or WSSI planning.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment, supporting and enabling others.
