Here’s a taste of what you will be doing as a Regulatory Reporting Analyst at Nottingham Building Society:
- Regulatory Reporting Delivery: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
- Data Analysis & Validation: Analyse variances against prior submissions and source data, investigating and resolving anomalies
- Systems & Process Improvement: Support development of regulatory requirements and system enhancements while identifying efficiencies and maintaining documentation
- Capital & Liquidity Coverage: Cross‑skill across capital and liquidity returns to ensure full team coverage and continuity
- Data Extraction & Reconciliation: Extract data from core systems and reconcile outputs to financial statements for accuracy
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with risk, treasury, finance, compliance, and IT teams to resolve queries and discrepancies
- Regulatory & Audit Support: Assist with regulator queries, audits, ICAAP, Pillar 3, and recovery planning activities
- Planning & Delivery: Support reporting timetables and deliver outputs within strict deadlines while providing wider team support
About You
- Technical Knowledge & Experience: Experience in financial reporting or data extraction, with awareness of CRD IV and exposure to SQL/SAS desirable
- Analytical Capability: Strong numeracy with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and draw conclusions
- Attention to Detail: Methodical approach with high accuracy, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Systems & IT Skills: Advanced Excel skills with confidence using financial systems and learning new tools quickly
- Organisation & Prioritisation: Strong planning skills to manage competing priorities and meet key deadlines
- Collaboration & Communication: Builds effective relationships and communicates clearly with a wide range of stakeholders
- Proactive Mindset: Identifies improvements, enhances processes, and stays up to date with regulatory changes
- Qualifications & Development: Educated to A-level standard (including Maths and English), with AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) desirable and interest in ACCA/CIMA preferred
