You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Backend Engineering, Design and Principal Engineers to deliver high‑quality, maintainable applications. In this role, you’ll contribute to technical design, drive continuous improvement and ensure solutions align with engineering standards and business goals. You take ownership of code quality, user experience and delivery, helping foster a strong engineering culture focused on pragmatic, high‑impact outcomes.

  • Ensure Responsiveness & Compatibility: Implement designs that work seamlessly across devices and browsers.
  • Integrate with Backend Services: Connect frontend components to APIs and backend systems for smooth end‑to‑end experiences.
  • Deliver Clean, Maintainable Code: Write modular, testable code aligned to agreed engineering standards.
  • Shape Technical Solutions: Contribute to technical design discussions and help steer approach and architecture.
  • Champion Performance & Accessibility: Deliver applications that are fast, reliable and fully accessible.
  • Collaborate & Continuously Improve: Work closely with product, design and backend teams while improving standards, pipelines, documentation and developer experience.

About you:

  • Strong Frontend Foundations: Solid understanding of modern frontend engineering principles, including HTML5, CSS3 and responsive design.
  • Proven React & TypeScript Skills: Hands‑on experience building production applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, React and component‑based architectures.
  • Modern Frontend Patterns: Knowledge of state management, asynchronous programming and common frontend design patterns.
  • API & Integration Experience: Comfortable integrating UIs with RESTful APIs and debugging issues across code, integrations and user flows.
  • Quality & Accessibility Mindset: Awareness of performance, accessibility and cross‑browser considerations, with a focus on delivering user‑centred experiences.
  • Agile & Collaborative: Experienced working in Agile teams, communicating clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, and contributing to shared outcomes.
  • Pragmatic & Ownership‑Driven: Takes responsibility, works methodically under pressure, and balances quality with delivery to get things shipped.
  • Continuous Learner: Open to feedback, adaptable to change, with experience in CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and ideally exposure to regulated environments.

Reward & Benefits:

  • Competitive Package: Fair salary benchmarked against market data, annual discretionary bonus, and 29 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Health & Wellbeing: Access to Medicash healthcare, mental health first aiders, and a suite of wellbeing resources to support you inside and outside of work.
  • Work-Life Balance: 35‑hour working week for full‑time roles, with flexibility to help you perform at your best.
  • Career Growth: Ongoing personal and professional development, we’ll support your ambitions and help you grow your potential.
  • Inclusive Culture: Be part of a friendly, values‑led team that genuinely cares about doing the right thing for colleagues and customers.
  • Giving Back: Use two paid volunteering days each year to support causes close to your heart, through our Samuel Fox Foundation.
  • Sustainability Focus: Join a business committed to reducing its carbon footprint and making a positive impact on the environment.
  • Free access to Octopus Money: Financial coaching & tools that help you plan, manage, and make the most of your money.
