Working closely with development teams, you’ll boost delivery speed, system reliability, and overall engineering excellence. Here’s a taste of what you will be doing:
- Infrastructure as Code: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalable and automated Azure environments.
- Container Orchestration: Support the configuration and management of Kubernetes clusters to support efficient, reliable deployment of containerised applications.
- CI/CD Engineering: Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines across Bitbucket, GitHub, or GitLab to automate build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Cross‑Team Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to enhance application performance, scalability, and reliability through shared DevOps practices.
- System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and operational challenges.
- Security & Compliance: Establish and enforce robust cloud security, compliance standards, and disaster‑recovery processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Research emerging technologies and trends, introducing modern tools and practices to strengthen platform capabilities.
- Strategic Leadership: Provide technical guidance and deliver innovative solutions aligned with wider business objectives.
About you
- Cloud Expertise: Strong hands‑on experience with Azure and core cloud services across compute, networking, and security.
- IaC & Automation: Proficient with Terraform and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python) to automate and scale infrastructure.
- Containers & Orchestration: Skilled in Docker and Kubernetes, with proven experience deploying and operating containerised applications.
- CI/CD Delivery: Confident in designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to drive reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Familiar with tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK, with the ability to diagnose and resolve production issues.
- Engineering Collaboration: Experienced partnering with development teams to enhance performance, reliability, and delivery practices.
- Mindset & Behaviours: Ownership‑driven, automation‑first, calm under pressure, security‑aware, and committed to continuous improvement.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 4+ years in DevOps/infrastructure roles, and ideally holding cloud or DevOps certifications.
