The role
You will be responsible for leading the design of new electrical architectures across all Norton products. You will lead the technical direction, specification, and delivery of vehicle communication systems such as CAN and LIN. Alongside this, you will be involved with the creation of system requirements for all ECUs and the entire vehicle networks.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Create requirements for wake-up, post-run, shutdown, and power management of motorcycle communication systems.
- Develop testing requirements and test plans for the Test Team.
- Schedule and conduct bus load usage for all network ECUs to meet system requirements.
- Responsible for overall vehicle network sign-off and compliance of all ECUs.
- Maintain motorcycle network topology diagrams.
- Support concern reviews with progress reports and updates to electrical concerns.
- Contribute to defining the software development process.
- Work with Engineers within wider teams to ensure all requirements are captured.
- Support integration Engineers during vehicle development to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Personal Specification
- Knowledge of dSPACE HIL toolchain.
- Advanced knowledge of Vector Canalyzer/CANoe/Canape tools (desirable).
- Ability to collaborate with wider departments and manage suppliers; including selection of suitable suppliers and components.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with exterior lighting (advantageous).
