The Norton Knatchbull School is seeking an organised, professional, positive and resilient apprentice who has a desire for pursuing a career in the science/education sector.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare practical lessons and provide continued support to the Science faculty.
- Help set up equipment and provide the necessary support for GCSE and A Level “Required Practical” activities.
- Adapt to a range of tasks, maintain health and safety standards, and assist with laboratory operations in two well-equipped laboratories.
Work schedule and remuneration:
- Level 3 Salary: £20,273 FTE / pro-rata approximately £17,477.35
- Hours: 08:00 – 16:00 (37 hours per week, term-time only)
- Expected duration: 18–20 months
Training:
- Delivered by CSR Group - Scientific Training
- Weekly classes delivered online
- A structured programme of on-the-job training, mock assessments, and professional discussions
- A final End Point Assessment including observation and portfolio-based discussion
Entry requirements:
- Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE Grade 5 or above)
- Level 3 qualifications (A Levels, BTECs and T Levels within Science) desirable
What to expect at the end of the apprenticeship:
Following completion, there may be an opportunity to secure a permanent position, subject to available vacancies.
