We are seeking to recruit a Casual Caretaker to join our Estates team. This role will provide flexible support on an as-and-when-required basis to cover periods of staff absence, annual leave, busy periods, and other operational requirements. The successful candidate will be based primarily at our Hartlepool campus and will help ensure that the premises are safe, secure, accessible, and presented to a high standard. The role may involve working a variety of shifts, including occasional evenings and Saturdays, depending on business needs. Flexibility and reliability are essential. As one of several key holders, the successful candidate must live within a reasonable travelling distance of the campus. Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques is essential. As a casual worker, there is no guarantee of regular hours, and work will be offered according to the operational needs of the School.

The Northern School of Art has been established for over 150 years. We are the only specialist provider of art and design programmes in the North East. We offer a distinct teaching and learning experience for students wishing to pursue an exciting career in the booming creative industries. Our further education (FE) provision for 16+ year olds is delivered from our Middlesbrough Campus and our higher education (HE) provision for 18+ year olds is housed within our Hartlepool Campus. Additionally, the School runs a successful Saturday Club at its Middlesbrough Campus for young people aged 6 to 16 years.

Responsibilities include:
