The Northern Club enjoys a picturesque setting in a conservation area on the edge of farmland in Sefton, North Liverpool. The area boasts easy access to both the culture and nightlife of Liverpool city centre and the beauty of the Sefton coastline, famous for its Anthony Gormley statues. The club has top-class sporting facilities including three cricket pitches, a hockey astro turf pitch, squash courts and two bowling greens and a members bar and busy function room space.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of the club, maintaining high standards of service and member satisfaction
Overseeing the daily operations of the bar and functions
Managing staff recruitment, performance, and training
Planning staff rotas and managing inventory levels
Complete stock order procedures, oversee receipt of deliveries and ensuring cash security and accounting procedures are followed
Managing the overall maintenance and cleanliness of club facilities
Ensuring legislative compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
Fostering positive relations with members and visitors
Plan and coordinate club events and functions, working closely with our external caterer to deliver up to 100 outside functions per year.
Our Requirements
Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
Experience of food and beverage management, ideally within a private club or upscale establishment
Excellent leadership, organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Experience in budgeting and cost control measures
Exceptional customer service skills
Knowledge of the relevant regulatory frameworks
Personal licence or eligibility to apply
Our Offer
Competitive salary of £30,000 plus live-in two-bedroom accommodation
47 hour working week spread flexibly over 5 days, with some evening and weekend work at busy times.
