Mechanical Fitter Engineer

The Non-Ferro Recovery Company (NRC) are an International family owned company and are experts in the recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from waste residues.

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter Engineer who will be responsible for the technical status, maintenance, preventative maintenance and repair of UK site installation equipment, machinery and mechanical components to ensure optimum output. Preferably based within Scotland – Cowdenbeath Fife area and able to also cover our UK sites within the South West Region (70/30% split)

Duties will include (but are not restricted to)

- \\n
- Maintain and repair UK site installation equipment, machinery and mechanical components to ensure optimum output.
- Gain full understanding of the technical workings of various equipment components to promptly identify errors and the repairs to restore normal function.
- Collaborate with HQ Workshops, UK Project Managers and Installation Team Leaders. Train and assist colleagues, allowing them to assist in improving installation output.
- Regularly inspect installation machines and equipment to identify and repair faulty components
- Responsible for the set-up, implementation, control and monitoring of daily, weekly and monthly procedural installation status checklist.
- Communicating effectively with NRC Senior Management at Head Office
- Ensuring good team spirit and motivation, and setting clear maintenance goals for our UK Site Installation team.
- Ensuring UK compliance with daily/weekly/preventative maintenance requirements. Thus maintaining the mechanical systems, repair and maintain their operating machinery to enhance longevity and prevent accidents.
- Organising transportation and logistics of Parts from Head Office Netherlands
- Administration duties
- Supply cover for Installation Site Managers as required
- Ensuring strict implementation and compliance with all EU/UK Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
