We are looking for a warm, welcoming, and professional front desk receptionist to join our team. The front desk receptionist will be the first point of contact in the hotel, providing a smooth check-in and useful information to all guests.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating a warm and welcoming first impression on check-in, handling credit card transactions and assisting with guest requests.
  • Handle guest interactions and complaints in a polite, engaging and empathetic manner.
  • Answering all telephones promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure that the standards of the department meet and exceed the quality standards set.
  • Manage guest reservations, ensuring accuracy on billing and all aspects of the reservation during check-in/out and reservation checks.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure guests’ special requests and preferences are met.
  • Answer calls/emails and communicate to relevant departments accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with guests about hotel amenities, services and events promoting upselling opportunities.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell room categories, packages, and additional services.
  • Offer recommendations and assist guests with transportation, entertainment plans, local attractions or various other amenity requests.
  • Ensure cash handling and accounting is accurately recorded reporting any discrepancies to management.
  • Verify rooms charges and process payments.
  • Act promptly and appropriately in case of emergencies or security concerns.
  • Proactively seek guest comments and feedback.
  • Maintain and accurately update guest records in PMS.
  • Assist Front Office Supervisor/Management with hotel related duties.
  • Adhere to task list and responsibilities communicated by management.
