Roles & Responsibilities
- Undertake general painting and decorating maintenance and refurbishment in all areas of the hotel.
- Undertake general maintenance and refurbishment work using trade skills including plastering repair work.
- Undertake a range of internal/external painting and redecoration tasks.
- Undertake preparation work using hand-held power tools including scraping, sanding and filling.
- Undertake silicone replacement or new silicone application jobs.
- Undertake preparation to surfaces in readiness for application of decorative product.
- Mix and thin paint to obtain desired colour and texture as necessary.
- Apply paint or other material such as stains, lacquer, enamel, oil, varnish, fibreglass, wood, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment, following manufacturer's recommendations.
- Comply with all company and other health & safety requirements at all times.
- Stock management of all painting and decorating tools and material (this might include going to the paint shop to purchase the items at times).
- French polishing duties upon receiving training from the external company or by way of attending French polishing course provided by the company.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Other ad hoc general maintenance duties in support of the Engineering team.
