Job Description
The Account Manager for the UK team is crucial in driving and supporting the continued growth of our international media portfolio. This role will focus on maintaining and expanding the current client base, providing expert media evaluation solutions, and ensuring timely delivery of insights to key clients. The position requires a proactive and highly skilled individual who can build strong client relationships, communicate effectively, deliver actionable insights, and contribute to revenue generation in the market.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Highly data literate, with a focus on innovating the presentation of data to support strategic decision-making.
- Serve as a subject matter media solutions expert, interpreting data analysis for clients and providing strong media consultative recommendations and insights based on a deep understanding of the client & sport.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of our products, solutions, and methodologies, as well as promoting the international adoption of industry standards.
- Become an expert on the sports media landscape, including audience targeting, brand exposure, media buying and selling.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with experience of maintaining and nurturing client accounts and relationships.
- Support the business with solution design, client pitches, and act as a "Media Expert" within the wider business landscape.
- Serve as the primary communicator to clients, keeping them informed on progress and addressing any concerns regarding delivery timelines and output quality.
- Working closely with the Client Strategy team to deeply understand client objectives, ensuring these are accurately reflected in the design and execution of the multiple sports sponsorship and media evaluation programme.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Project Management, Media Analytics, Operations) to ensure timely and accurate execution of multiple sponsorship projects.
- Work with the Global Delivery Team to ensure efficient data delivery, minimize manual reporting, enhance data visualization, and create compelling insights that drive further engagement and revenue.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and improve rugby specific sponsorship evaluation methodologies.
- Drive the refinement of existing products and solutions to meet the unique needs of multiple clients.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience of working within the sports marketing, media or research industry. Experience of working with data and insights preferable.
- Strong collaboration skills, especially in translating client needs into effective solutions within the rugby & tennis sponsorship and media evaluation space.
- Expertise in rugby & tennis sponsorship dynamics, media evaluation techniques, and audience targeting strategies.
- Ability to manage complex projects internally and communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery and insights.
- Knowledge of, and interest in, the sports sponsorship and media industry with a good understanding of the UK sports and media landscape.
- Proactive in identifying and pursuing new client insights, enriching client deliverables, and supporting revenue growth.
- Self-starter with excellent communication, presentation and time management skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite; Excel and PowerPoint experience required as well as preferred experience with Google suite.
