We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our team as the Head of Sales for Nielsen. As the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets in the EMEA market. Your primary role will be to lead a high-performing sales team, develop and execute effective sales strategies, and build strong relationships with key clients and partners.Location: Remote in Europe, travel across EMEA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets in the EMEA market.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including post-sales servicing, customer success, marketing, product, and finance, to align sales efforts with company objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to expand the company\’s presence and market share in the EMEA region.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, broadcasters, digital platforms, agencies, and advertisers, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs to identify areas for growth and innovation.
  • Forecast sales performance, track progress against targets, and provide regular reports to the Chief Revenue Officer and executive leadership team.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with other regional sales teams to optimize cross-market opportunities and share best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies to anticipate market changes and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and events to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
  • Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, preferably in the media, data, or analytics industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving sales growth and meeting or exceeding revenue targets in the EMEA region.
  • Extensive experience in managing and leading a sales team, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate individuals to achieve their full potential.
  • Deep understanding of the media industry landscape, including knowledge of digital advertising, adtech, data analytics, and media measurement.
  • Strong network of relationships within the media industry, including agencies, advertisers, and publishers, particularly in the EMEA region.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data-driven insights to drive decision-making and optimize sales performance.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor\’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications would be a plus.
