Our Media Analytics team is Nielsen\’s custom research hub, answering complex client measurement questions innovatively, creating new products and services to address industry gaps, and ensuring current measurement solutions meet industry needs.
This role is part of the commercial arm of the Media Analytics function. The successful candidate will liaise between the Direct Sales team and the Research Analysts. You will support the Direct Sales team in identifying how Nielsen can answer key business questions, ensuring Nielsen remains competitive. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Research Analysts to manage research projects, providing clients with valuable insights.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Direct Sales team to convert research brief leads.
- Achieve annual financial targets.
- Manage research briefs from idea to client delivery.
- Develop solution costs and methodologies with Research.
- Create sales stories for Nielsen Measurement solutions in partnership with the Sales team.
- Present solutions to internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Adopt a consultative selling approach to build long-term client relationships.
- Support go-to-market strategies and train internal staff on new products.
- Mentor team members as needed.
- Stay informed about competitors and industry changes.
Skills
- Over 5 years of experience in Market Research, Publishing, or Media Agencies in research/insights or sales roles.
- Understanding of various research techniques.
- Knowledge of the UK media landscape.
- Ability to manage tight project deadlines.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting in person and virtually.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Open to continuous learning and embracing ambiguity.
Optional but preferred elements include:
- Degree in Statistics, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Knowledge of Spanish, German, or French.
- Experience with social listening projects.
