As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll support the Maintenance Manager in carrying out repairs, upkeep, and safety checks throughout the hotel. This hands-on role is perfect for someone practical, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic. Please note this role is 20 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with routine maintenance and repairs, including minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and decorating tasks
- Carry out daily checks on lighting, heating, air conditioning, and safety systems
- Support with general upkeep of hotel interiors and exteriors
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and staff reports of issues
- Help maintain a tidy, safe, and well-organised maintenance storage area
- Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with health and safety standards
- Assist with setting up or moving furniture, equipment, or deliveries as needed
- Work with external contractors when on site and ensure proper support and supervision
- Keep maintenance logs up to date in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager
