The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Painter & Decorator to join the Maintenance team at THE NICI New Forest in Lymington.
You will play a key role in maintaining the presentation and finish of our luxury hotel, ensuring all guest areas, bedrooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas are kept to the highest standards.
This is a hands‑on role for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out painting and decorating works across guest bedrooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, spa facilities, and back‑of‑house areas.
- Prepare surfaces, including filling, sanding, stripping, and priming before decorating.
- Complete both planned refurbishment work and reactive repairs to a high standard.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and with minimal disruption to guests.
- Maintain decorating equipment, tools, and materials in good condition.
- Work closely with the Maintenance team to support wider property upkeep.
- Report any maintenance issues identified while carrying out decorating works.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Maintain the high presentation standards expected throughout THE NICI Collection.
About You
- Previous experience as a Painter & Decorator, ideally within hotels, hospitality, or commercial properties.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high‑quality workmanship.
- Good knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and surface preparation.
- Able to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Flexible, reliable, and proactive in your approach.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to support the wider Maintenance team when required.
