As a Billing Specialist and Project Accountant, you’ll be the go-to person for all things billing, project performance, and financial insight, helping shape the future of a team. This is a fixed-term contract for 4-6 months, with the potential for the role to evolve as the business continues to grow and change.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Raising invoices and managing billing processes
- Partnering with project teams to monitor project performance and budgets
- Working closely with job runners, project managers, partners, and directors to discuss project finances and challenge where needed
- Maintaining accurate project and financial data within Timemaster and supporting the transition to Cmap
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar role (Billing Specialist, Project Accountant, Finance Assistant, or similar) within a professional services environment
- Strong numerical skills and confidence working with financial data
- A can-do attitude and the ability to take ownership of your work
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders
- Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot tables)
