Responsibilities

  • Preparing service charge accounts for a portfolio of residential and commercial properties
  • Ensuring all accounts comply with current legislation and industry guidelines, including RICS
  • Liaising with property managers, clients, and auditors to resolve queries
  • Assisting with year‑end processes and audit requirements
  • Reviewing expenditure and ensuring costs are correctly allocated
  • Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records

Qualifications

  • Part‑qualified (ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Previous experience preparing service charge accounts, such as Service Charge Accountant, Property Accountant, or Client Accountant
  • Strong understanding of service charge legislation and reporting requirements
  • Confident using accounting software and Excel
  • High attention to detail and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
