Responsibilities

  • Leading the delivery of corporate tax services for a diverse client portfolio
  • Overseeing and developing a team, delegating work and supporting their growth
  • Providing technical advice on complex tax matters and supporting tax planning projects
  • Managing client relationships, understanding their business needs, and ensuring exceptional service
  • Reviewing complex corporation tax returns and group submissions
  • Driving new business by preparing proposals, fee quotes, and attending client tenders
  • Delivering departmental training and sharing technical knowledge with the team
  • Reviewing WIP monthly, ensuring fees are raised and provisions are updated
  • Championing new technologies and more efficient ways of working
  • Supporting team management, including holiday approvals and participating in interviews for new hires

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role such as Corporate Tax Manager, Tax Supervisor, or Senior Tax Advisor within an accountancy practice
  • A recognised accountancy or tax qualification (e.g. ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA) or qualified by experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and compliance
  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients with complex needs
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to advise clients and colleagues
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making
