Working closely with the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role across the day-to-day finance function, gaining hands-on experience and developing your management accounting skills along the way. Reporting to the Finance Controller, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with the Finance Assistant to ensure ledgers are accurate and up to date
- Reviewing recurring billing and project costs, making sure everything is accounted for and completed
- Supporting the month-end process, including assisting with tasks and reporting
- Preparing and posting journals
- Managing accruals and ensuring they are correctly recorded
- Producing cashflow forecasts to help inform business decisions
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts
- Analysing financial information for monthly reporting
What you will need:
- Experience in a similar finance role, such as Assistant Accountant, Assistant management accountant or Accounts Analyst
- Month-end experience, with a track record of supporting or leading the process
- A progressive mindset, keen to learn and develop
- Currently studying or previously studied towards a finance qualification (QBE considered)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
