Our Electrician

As an Electrician at The Newt, you’ll be maintaining and improving the electrical heartbeat of one of the most beautiful estates in the UK. From rolling gardens to heritage buildings and cutting-edge tech, your work will span smart lighting, modern systems, and heritage spaces – always ensuring our high standards and seamless operations for guests and teams alike. Whether it’s preventative maintenance or a quick response in the moment, you’ll bring confidence, expertise and reliability to every wire and switch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair electrical systems across the estate
  • Ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards (BS 7671)
  • Support smart tech systems and automated controls
  • Assist with appliance maintenance and general engineering tasks
  • Respond to faults promptly, including on-call support
  • Record all work accurately using our digital system (Infraspeak)

What we\'re looking for

Required

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Qualification
  • Qualified to 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • Minimum of 3 years\' experience in a similar role
  • Strong independent work ethic and fault-finding skills
  • Happy to work in confined spaces and carry out physically demanding tasks
  • UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Inspection and Testing qualification (or working towards it)
  • 5+ years of experience in high-end residential, heritage, or hospitality settings
  • Proven record of engineering excellence
