Up to £12.48 per hour plus tronc and fantastic benefits. 45 hours per week across 5 days. Predominantly daytime hours with evenings sometimes required for events. Due to the location of the Estate, a driving license is recommended for this role.

As a Commis Chef in our Garden Café, you’ll support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering consistently high-quality food within a busy, guest-facing environment. You’ll be involved in food preparation, service and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, organisation and food safety, all while learning from experienced chefs and building strong foundations for your future career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting food preparation as directed by the Head Chef and senior kitchen team.
  • Assisting during service to ensure dishes are delivered quickly, safely and to the required standard.
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety at all times.
  • Following recipes, portion control and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency.
  • Supporting stock rotation, labelling and correct storage of ingredients.
  • Keeping your section clean, tidy and organised throughout the day.
  • Working calmly and effectively under pressure in a public-facing environment.
  • Communicating clearly with colleagues and responding positively to feedback.
