The Freeman hospital is seeking a dynamic, forward thinking electrical engineering supervisor to lead our electrical maintenance team within a complex and fast-paced healthcare environment. This role is ideal for an ambitious, innovative professional; who is eager to drive excellence in a vital support service at one of the United Kingdom’s most renowned hospitals. The Supervisor will ensure compliance with all safety standards and procedures whilst ensuring completion of all statutory, mandatory and policy PPMs; as well as managing general repairs. • Responsible for organising and assigning PPM tasks issued by the Estates Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System including any follow-up actions
• Management of day-to-day hand-held devices for each crafts-person
• Management of KPI\’s
• Responsible for organising and assigning reactive breakdown tasks and ensuring completion in an efficient and timely manner
• Work alongside Estates Officers and ensure that all shifts are continually covered by internal resource
• Work alongside Estates Officers to support all team member including dayshift crafts-persons, shift crafts-persons and apprentices
• Provide estates officers with weekly updates concerning outstanding PPMs and breakdown tasks.

Responsible for the direct technical supervision of specialist craftsperson\’s in the planned maintenance of, and emergency response to, complex engineering infrastructure to ensure the effective performance of all building services, plant, equipment, structures and fabric to ensure the trust Estate is maintained in a safe condition.
This will include:
• Act as Authorised Person (Limited Duties) as defined by Health
Technical Memorandum’s for the Low Voltage Distribution Systems across
the Estate
• Responsible for the management and supervision of Competent Persons
in the completion of technically specialist tasks
• Day to day management of software and hardware systems used by the
maintenance compliance function
• Quality Inspection
• To manage minor works projects as directed
• Participate in the shift out of hours rota
• To ensure cover is provided in the event of unplanned circumstance
• To provide Estates support to Capital Projects and other organisations when
required
• Raise and approve of orders within defined parameters in line with Trust
Standing Financial Instructions
• Monitor the performance of the maintenance teams. Identifying performance, targets and providing regular reports on performance which identify areas for improvement
• Provide regular highlight reports for compliance areas as required.
Identify and deliver cost improvement opportunities and service efficiencies that may improve the organisation’s operations.
• Ensure that all risks and issues are identified, addressed and mitigated or notified appropriately.
