If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, then we want you! We are seeking a skilled Data Information Manager to join our dynamic team at the Great North Children’s Hospital. The successful applicant will oversee data collection storage, and management processes relating to patients treated within the department of Paediatric cystic fibrosis. The successful candidate will ensure that data input adheres to and maintains the cystic fibrosis registry and Cystic Fibrosis Trust data collection.

The children’s cystic fibrosis service is part of the respiratory department at the Great North Children’s Hospital. We are a regional centre providing specialist care for approximately 180 children with CF across the North East and Cumbria. We care for children from birth to 16-18 years old when they transfer to adult services. The service consists of a specialist multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, pharmacist, physiologists, social worker and administrative staff.

Your role will directly impact patient experience and be part of providing seamless delivery of care., + To be responsible for the collection of data relating to patients treated within the department of Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis Service. Ensuring that the data input adheres to and maintains the CF registry and CF Trust data collection requirements.

  • Work with other data managers in the Paediatric directorate to respond to all requests for data required for clinical governance within the dedicated quality management system, finance and the wider Trust organisation.

  • Work with the Data Manager in the Adult CF service to ensure timely responses to data queries across the whole service.

  • Submit data to various registries including the UK CF registry

  • Maintenance of quality and content of data input as appropriate within internal and external data bases

  • To be responsible for producing reports as required and support analytical work of the business.

  • Submit and present data as requested as part of the quality management programme within the Trust CF service.

  • Act as a point of contact for all Paediatric CF data queries.

  • Ensure that Trust policy regarding Data Protection and Information Governance is adhered to.

  • To collate and enter statistical information received within GNCH, using it to produce reports as requested.

  • To think creatively to develop, design or create ideas to promote GNCH and present data.

  • Collect, store and present market data effectively using computer technology.

  • Analyse information and evaluate results and highlight issues to Service Lead

  • Within the CF clinical governance programme to provide data for, attend and present data at regular quality management meetings

  • To provide data required for national targets such as the specialized service quality dashboard (SSQD)

  • Co-ordinate and attend weekly MDT CF Annual Review meetings and severe asthma review meetings with minute taking
