Integrated Laboratory Medicine are looking for an Assistant Operational Service Manager to support senior managers across the directorate manage equipment contracts in order to bring improvements to service provision and efficiencies.
You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of colleagues who all share a passion for patient care and a desire to develop improved and innovative ways of working within Pathology services.

NO AGENCIES PLEASE, The post holder will work with each of the departments within ILM to provide close day-to-day management of the already established managed equipment service contracts, as the equipment refresh is implemented. There will also be a focus on novating equipment into the contract in order to bring cost savings and operational efficiencies. Future opportunities for other MESCs are a potential and it is expected that this role would be crucial to that process. The post holder will also contribute to the business/commercial function within ILM.
This role does not have any line management responsibility; it is a trust wide role and cross site working will be expected. Working from home may form part of a typical working week. A flexible, hybrid approach to working is required.
The role will suit a team player and methodical thinker; experience of financial and business management are essential.

Liaising with MESC contract holders, primary suppliers and third parties

Liaising with internal Trust departments including but not limited to finance and procurement

Working with colleagues across the directorate to ensure accurate and up to date costings are provided.
The post holder will work alongside senior managers both within the directorate and elsewhere across the Trust. Communication and interpersonal skills will be key to making a success of the role, and project management experience is desirable – the directorate currently has many interdependent projects in the pipeline.
