Overview
The Botanist Lincoln are recruiting a General Manager. Salary up to £50,000 (DOE) before bonus, benefits and tronc. This role leads everything within the unit and requires a proven track record in developing people to drive the site forward. You will have full autonomy over your P&L and ensure financial targets are met. This is a hands-on, non-office role where you lead from the front on site. Although you are an expert in finance, you will spend the majority of your time with your people to ensure your teams are bought into success. With your management team, you will develop your team through appraisals and performance chats, promoting the development of future managers. HR matters fall to you, and ownership over your whole unit is essential. You will maintain a pipeline of people ready to take their next career steps, including promoting to new sites when appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Lead all operations within your unit and have full autonomy over the P&L, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Lead from the front on site and maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence.
- Develop your team through appraisals and performance conversations to promote future managers.
- Own all HR matters for the unit and ensure a continuous pipeline of internal career progression.
- Collaborate with the management team to enable career steps for team members, including promotions to other sites when needed.
