Join Our Team as a Criminal Justice Keyworker! Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women involved in the criminal justice system? The Nelson Trust is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Criminal Justice Keyworkers at our Gloucester Women’s Centre.

Location: Gloucester Women’s Centre

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Full-time & part-time vacancies available

Pension: Auto Enrolment Pension (6% employer contribution)

About the Role: As a Criminal Justice Keyworker, you will provide a range of interventions and support to women involved in the criminal justice system. Your role will involve offering one-to-one support, guidance, information, and signposting to help raise self-esteem, self-efficacy, and enhance social and recovery capital. You will work collaboratively with various agencies to develop and implement gender-responsive support plans tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical and emotional support to women involved in the Criminal Justice System.
  • Collaborate with referring organisations, including Voluntary, Statutory, and Criminal Justice agencies.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs, including health, psychological, and social needs.
  • Develop, implement, and review gender-responsive support plans.
  • Support clients through the court process and attend multi-agency meetings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of services.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working with women with multiple complex needs.
  • Knowledge of gender-responsive practice and trauma-informed environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload and cope in stressful situations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
