We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Group Interventions Worker to join our Women's Community Services team in Bristol. Working as part of the Horizons Bristol commissioned drug and alcohol service, you will facilitate engaging group interventions focused on substance use, trauma, abuse, safety and wellbeing. Using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, you’ll support women experiencing multiple and complex needs to reduce barriers, achieve personal goals and make lasting positive change.
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (flexibility to work outside normal working hours when required)
Location: Bristol Women's Centre and Horizons partner sites across Bristol
What will you do?
- Deliver psychosocial group interventions and practical support for women affected by substance use and multiple disadvantage
- Facilitate trauma-informed groups focused on recovery, wellbeing, safety, abuse awareness and personal development
- Deliver group interventions across Horizons partner locations throughout Bristol
- Carry out holistic needs assessments and support women to access appropriate services and opportunities
- Advocate for women and encourage engagement in recovery plans and activities that support positive outcomes
- Develop effective partnerships with keyworkers and services including housing, health, social care and criminal justice agencies
