At Neighbourhood Vets, we’ve built something special - a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where vets can thrive professionally, grow their skills, and most importantly, love coming to work. We’re now looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. An interest in imaging or ultrasonography would be ideal, but not essential. Most importantly, we’re looking for a kind, positive and team-focused clinician who “gets” what we’re about.
About the Practice: Proud to Be Part of IVC Evidensia. The Neighbourhood Vet is part of the IVC Evidensia family – Europe’s leading veterinary group with over 2,500 practices across 20 countries. United by the purpose “Healthy Animals, Happy Owners,” we’re proud to deliver exceptional care through collaboration, compassion, and continual learning.
Supportive, Skilled, and Seriously Well-equipped. Our practice has grown from a one-vet start-up in East Dulwich 13 years ago to three thriving clinics across SE London, with a 70+ strong team of over 20 vets and 10 certificate holders in disciplines including medicine, surgery, imaging, ECC, oncology, and ophthalmology. You’ll work alongside a brilliant, bonded team that truly has each other’s backs – no egos, just collaboration and high standards.
What You’ll Have Access To:
- High-quality ultrasound machines across all sites
- Digital and dental radiography (two sites)
- Laparoscopy kit
- Endoscopy kit
- Orthopaedic and soft-tissue surgical equipment
- 20 minute consults and a fair, balanced and manageable work rota
- Support, mentoring, regular wellbeing and mental health rounds
- Ongoing CPD, career and personal development opportunities
Flexibility That Fits Your Life. We understand that great vets have lives outside of work. This role can flex depending on your needs – up to 40 hours per week (typically across 4 days), with genuine scope for flexible working. You’ll usually be based between our East Dulwich main site and one other branch, ensuring you feel part of the team without being spread too thinly.
Why Join Neighbourhood Vets?
- Work alongside a fun, close-knit team that was crowned IVC’s Team of the Year
- Authentic leadership that truly listens, with excellent retention and team harmony
- A culture built on humility, humour, and helping each other out
- Dedicated development support, including CPD funding and certificate study
