About The Ned: The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

As part of our restaurant operations team, you will:

  • Keep our floor teams stocked with glassware, equipment, silverware etc, allowing them to deliver amazing guest experiences every time.
  • Deliver food and drinks to customers, announcing items as you deliver them to the correct guest.
  • Work at pace as part of our busy operation, making sure everything is where it is needed, when it is needed so that we can deliver smooth and uninterrupted service to our guests and customers.
  • Help the floor teams to maintain a clean and tidy restaurant, always presenting the slick and professional image our customers expect.

What The Ned can give you:

  • Estimated yearly pay of £29,120 - £14.00 per hour including service.
  • Complimentary meals in our friendly team restaurant, Neddy’s including monthly payday breakfast.
  • Exciting learning and development programmes to help progress your career.
  • Exclusive rates at The Ned for staying and eating for you, your family and friends.
  • Wellbeing and health benefits, including Reward Gateway and Stream, with access to gym, shopping, and cinema discounts.
  • Your birthday off after a year of service and more holiday after five years.
  • Paid volunteer day.
  • Refer a friend scheme.
  • Regular social events, including an annual pool party.
  • Employee assistance programme – 24/7 advice and support.
  • Reward and recognition initiatives.

What you can bring to the role:

  • No experience is necessary for this role, so a can-do attitude and a willingness to learn is all you need.
  • Even when not directly serving customers, you will often be visible in and around service areas, so a high standard of personal presentation and a welcoming vibe is essential for all roles at The Ned.
  • Whilst not the main point of contact, guests will often ask you for additional items or ask questions so an ability to communicate in a friendly manner is essential.
  • Ideally this will be a stepping stone into a waiter role, so a desire to learn and progress is always welcome, but not essential.

At The Ned, we don’t just celebrate our diversity, we challenge ourselves to do even better. The Ned is committed to being the best place to work, and ensuring that we have a leading diversity, equity and inclusion programme is central to making that vision a reality.
