The pastry kitchen at The Ned produces delicious desserts and pastries to be served anywhere in our hotel, members spaces, or any of our 10 restaurants. Whether that's a cake for a wedding on our events floor, croissants and pain au chocolate for a breakfast meeting, afternoon tea to be served in Millie's, or a whole host of desserts for our famous Sunday Feast, the pastry kitchen do it all.
The Ned boasts 10 restaurants each serving a unique style of cuisine from around the world, and as the Night Baker you will run service, producing gorgeous desserts to order, perfect to finish off their meal.
As part of our kitchen teams and reporting to the kitchen leadership team, you will:
- Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm.
- Keep your kitchen clean, tidy, well presented, and ready to hand over to the next team of chefs.
- Support the next team of chefs by helping to prep for the next service.
Our night chefs will generally work from 6pm, with some flexibility preferred.
Previous experience on the line in a pastry kitchen is required. Any specialist pastry or dessert skills will be advantageous. Our kitchens can be high pressure so a calm demeanour and a genuine passion for providing guests with exceptional food is essential. A creative flair is always welcome and you may be offered the opportunity to assist your Head Chef in menu creation.
Salary of £18.70/hour including service charge.
