Do you want to play a key role in creating the unforgettable experiences The Ned is known for? As the leader of our Housekeeping department, the Executive Housekeeper makes sure that everything from our bedrooms and spa to our public areas including our restaurants and bars are always sparkling and well presented.

About The Ned: The Ned and Neds Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Neds Club - a private members space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a full floor of events spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting to our Head of Rooms you will:

  • Coach and develop a team of amazing managers and supervisors to lead, inspire, and retain a team of over 100 individuals
  • Create and drive the department strategy to achieve our goals and build a long-term vision, implementing any initiatives, policies, and procedures as needed
  • Be the main accountable person for departmental results and lead your team in delivering all operational, commercial, experiential, and people performance
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences, particularly our Reception and Engineering departments.
  • Recruit and train housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

  • A proven track record of delivering outstanding people management and commercial performance in a similar role and/or environment
  • Exceptional leadership and organisational skills with an eye for detail and impeccable standards
  • This role involves collaborating both internally and externally so our ideal person will be a strong relationship builder who is confident in any decision-making process, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the systems we use would be advantageous: Opera PMS (V5), Knowcross, Fourth, or Adaco
  • Active engagement in the industry and awareness of market trends
