About The Ned

About the Role
We’re looking for a motivated and commercially aware Group & Event Sales Executive to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone starting their sales career who enjoys building client relationships, who is naturally organised and has a passion for converting event and group enquiries. You will play a key part in supporting the sales team and driving revenue by managing incoming leads, supporting proactive outreach, and delivering a smooth and professional sales experience from first contact through to booking confirmation.
What will you be doing?
- Manage incoming enquiry handling, negotiation, proposals, site visits, contracting, and follow‑up.
- Creatively and proactively convert event and group enquiries.
- Build positive relationships with corporate clients.
- Keep internal teams updated with clear information to ensure a smooth handover for every booking.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver and conduct engaging, creative client show‑arounds that drive strong conversion rates.
- Monitor personal and team sales performance, working towards agreed targets.
- Represent the brand at networking events and industry functions as required.
- Host regular site inspections at The Ned.
- Contribute ideas, industry insights and suggestions to support increased conversions, new business opportunities, and improvements to sales processes.
What you can bring to the role:
- Experience in event sales, or hospitality is preferred but not essential.
- Great all‑round passion for events and hospitality, and a strong desire to convert enquiries into confirmed business.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good organisational abilities with attention to detail.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable communication in person, phone and email.
- Using sales systems (ideally Opera).
- Maintain a polished, presentable appearance.
