Our members expect the best food, drinks, and service across either the rooftop restaurant - Ned’s Club Upstairs - or the Vault, our late-night venue. Our Club Bartenders are the smiling faces serving up the drinks at any of our guest facing bars in these spaces. All of our bartenders at The Ned deliver top tier hospitality, but what sets our Club team apart is the ability to build lasting rapport - every guest is a loyal member or a potential new member so every interaction is crucial and every piece of information we learn about what our members love is used to create an even better experience for them the next time.

What’s the role?

Reporting into the bar management team and as a key part of the food and beverage team you will:

  • Prepare and serve up perfectly made drinks from our range of menus.
  • On our guest service bars you will be the friendly face providing exceptional experiences, along with recommendations and suggested drinks.
  • On our service bars you will speedily prepare the orders as they come in, keeping our waiters and runners stocked with the drinks they need to deliver a seamless experience to our members.
  • All our bars are in full view of the members, so a tidy, presentable, and slick operation is essential.
  • Be a guardian of drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned’s Club standards reach our guests.
  • Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Rapport building skills are essential for working in our Club spaces, every guest is a loyal member or a potential new member, so every interaction is crucial.
  • You’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our customers to give them an exceptional service.
  • You’ll have great all-round drinks knowledge, and ideally experience with cocktails and/or wines.
  • A creative flair is always welcome – we host regular cocktail competitions with our winning drinks being added to the menus.
  • In our Club spaces you may be looking after high-profile people who value their privacy, so a degree of confidentiality is non-negotiable.
  • If you have the desire to learn and progress then you can take part including the option to gain a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification, and extensive bar training as part of our monthly learning calendar.
