About The Ned
The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.
The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club – a private members’ space, gym and rooftop – alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 248 hotel bedrooms.
Reporting into the bar management team and as a key part of the food and beverage team you will:
- Prepare and serve up perfectly made drinks from our range of menus
- On our guest service bars you will be the friendly face providing exceptional experiences, along with recommendations and suggested drinks
- On our service bars you will speedily prepare the orders as they come in, keeping our waiters and runners stocked with the drinks they need to deliver a seamless experience to our guests
- All of our bars are in full view of the guests so a tidy, presentable, and slick operation is essential
- Be a guardian of drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned standards reach our guests
- Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm
What you can bring to the role:
- You’ll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our customers to give them an exceptional service
- You’ll have great all-round drinks knowledge, and ideally experience with cocktails and/or wines
- A creative flair is always welcome – we host regular cocktail competitions with our winning drinks being added to the menus
- If you have the desire to learn and progress then you can take part including the option to gain a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification, and extensive bar training as part of our monthly learning calendar
