Job Overview: Are you ready to play a key role in keeping production moving safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards? We’re looking for proactive and hands-on Line Operatives to join our team in Thurmaston/Leicester, operating converting line equipment such as Rewinders, Wrappers, and Core Winders. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll take ownership of your line, ensuring smooth operation, consistent quality, and full compliance with safety and legal requirements. If you’re someone who takes pride in precision, values teamwork, and thrives on delivering high-quality results, this is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in a dynamic manufacturing setting!

About Us: Navigator Tissue UK Ltd is part of The Navigator Company. Previously known as Accrol Group and established in 1993, Navigator Tissue UK is the UK’s leading independent tissue converter producing private label toilet roll, kitchen roll, facial tissue products and a range of wet wipes for most of the UK’s major grocery retailers. We currently have five manufacturing sites in Blackburn, Leyland, Leicester, Flint and Bridgwater across the UK, but are in the process of moving rolls manufacturing from Blackburn to Leyland. Our vision is to deliver the best possible value to the UK consumer on essential everyday tissue and wet wipe products. We ask every individual to do one thing better every day, empowering them through clear communication, personal development opportunities and strong ethical business values.

About You: Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with at least a year of hands-on production experience — or are you ready to take the next step into this kind of role? Do you understand the importance of Health & Safety and feel confident working within established SOPs, always keeping safety, quality, and standards front of mind? When pressure builds, do you stay focused, organised, and adaptable as priorities shift and deadlines compete? Are you a clear and confident communicator, comfortable working with colleagues at all levels, and someone who approaches challenges with a practical, solution-focused mindset? Most importantly, do you bring the right attitude? At Navigator Tissue UK, we’re looking for someone reliable, personable, and genuinely team-oriented, someone with a strong work ethic who’s ready to contribute, support others, and make a real difference on the line every day.

The Role: As a Line Operative at Navigator Tissue UK, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality products while keeping our converting lines running efficiently and effectively. Safety will be your top priority, championed through your actions, behaviours, and decision making every day. Working collaboratively across your designated area, you’ll operate and monitor converting equipment in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure optimum performance. You’ll carry out regular quality checks, complete production documentation accurately, and escalate any non-conformances, downtime, or equipment concerns promptly to minimise disruption and maintain high standards. You’ll support changeovers, assist in resolving minor machine faults, and work closely with production, technical, and support teams to maximise productivity and deliver against the production schedule. Alongside maintaining excellent housekeeping and compliance standards, you’ll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ensure product safety and legality are upheld at every stage of the process. This is a hands-on, team-focused role where reliability, flexibility, attention to detail, and a proactive approach will be key to your success. Full training is given to all successful candidates, with a variety of development opportunities available to enhance existing skills and experience.
