Conservation Coordinator - Chattahoochee Fall Line, GA in London

The Chattahoochee Fall Line (CFL) Conservation Coordinator provides administrative, research, project management, outreach, and other general assistance to program staff working toward the achievement of protection, conservation or stewardship goals. This hybrid role balances time between a home office and the CFL office, with in‑office work required based on operational needs. Reporting to the CFL Program Director, this role collaborates with and supports the CFL Stewardship & Fire Program Manager and the CFL Land Protection Manager in advancing program goals.

Responsibilities & Scope

• Supervises no staff but may oversee and direct work of office volunteers or interns.
• Coordinates multiple tasks or projects in a timely manner and with attention to detail.
• May assist with program budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.
• The CFL Conservation Coordinator may work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain, and under physically demanding circumstances.
• Makes day to day decisions as delegated by the supervisor.
• Valid driver’s license required.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, ecology, natural resources management or related field and 2 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects.
• Experience handling standard business communications.

Desired Qualifications

• 2-4 years related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to complete tasks independently within assigned time frames.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, with assignments sometimes coming from a number of sources and work independently.
• Ability to coordinate project information from a number of sources to populate databases, create reports and produce manual files.
• A strong interest in learning about conservation field work (e.g. prescribed fire, monitoring, forest and grassland restoration, etc.) and becoming an active participant in such activities as knowledge, skill, and ability increases.
• Experience utilizing databases for data entry and report production preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with ArcGIS software.
• Experience with grant management and reporting.
• Strong administrative skills including attention to detail and numerical ability.
• Ability to plan, administer and record results of work‑team meetings and activities.
• Multi-lingual and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.

This position requires a valid driver’s license and compliance with TNC’s Auto Safety Program. Salary Information

The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $24.72‑$27.47 hourly rate. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate’s qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
