We are on the lookout for an experienced, hands-on supervisor to join our energetic team at one of the city centre’s busiest and most vibrant bar/nightclubs. Position: Full-time
Rate of pay: £13.70 per hour, plus discretionary bonus scheme
Hours: Day, evening and weekend availability required
The successful candidate will have demonstrated previous supervisory experience (preferably at least 2 years) in a similar busy City Centre Bar/Restaurant environment, be able to lead and motivate a team, be customer focused and target driven. They will have experience supervising both bar and waiting staff and be able to implement initiatives to increase revenue. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have a working knowledge of food and drink stocktakes.
What you’ll do:
- Support the rest of the management team with day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth service during peak hours
- Lead and motivate the bar team to deliver outstanding customer experiences
- Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance at all times
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and cash handling
- Be a visible, active presence on the floor—leading by example
- Help manage staff training and development
- Support the management team in achieving business goals and maintaining a positive working environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a similar supervisory role in a similar busy venue (1 year minimum)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle busy periods
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
- Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the business
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
