You will be joining an established team handling a varied and interesting caseload of Environmental Protection Act matters from instruction through to settlement or trial, with support, flexibility, and long-term development opportunities available.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of pre and post-prosecution EPA matters, including:

  • Reviewing prosecution files and evidence
  • Drafting legal documentation and notices
  • Managing cases from inception through to conclusion
  • Trial preparation, negotiations, and settlements
  • Liaising with clients, counsel, courts, and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with Criminal Procedure Rules and relevant legislation
  • Using Proclaim Case Management System (CMS) effectively to manage litigation files and workflows

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor with Criminal Litigation experience
  • Experience in Criminal Prosecution or Defence matters
  • Ability to bill work at Grade B or above
  • Previous experience using Proclaim CMS or similar legal case management software
  • Strong organisational and case management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, high-volume environment
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Advocacy experience advantageous
  • IT literate and commercially aware
