About the role

As an organisation with strong values, our Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy is at the heart of what we do. This role offers the opportunity to help drive the Strategy across NOC, working collaboratively with key contacts across the organisation to champion the progression of the five pillars within our strategy.

As well as responsibility for the coordination of the CSR Strategy, the position is tasked with leading the Environment Pillar for NOC. Through leadership of the Environment Advisory Group, the role interacts at all levels of NOC, both internally and externally, and is central in supporting all departments in the organisation.

About you

You will have experience of working in similar roles and be able to work effectively and efficiently toward goals in an intricate and diverse environment with multiple and changing demands. You must be approachable and able to handle broad-based, often complex, communication for internal and external audiences. It is essential to have experience of delivering CSR projects within a similar environment.

The post holder will need a core understanding of best practice Corporate and Social Responsibility principles. This is not just a technical understanding but the ability to demonstrate and embrace excellent communication, judgement and interpersonal skills that are needed for the application of knowledge. Supporting NOC to achieve best practice and continue to improve and evolve requires a commitment to keeping up to date with good practice and keeping abreast of the changes within the internal and external environment.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communication skills, with a high degree of maturity and self-reliance and be able to cope with regularly changing priorities while still delivering a high standard of service. A very proactive and flexible approach will be required for this post.

Location

This position can be based in Southampton or Liverpool. Our Southampton site is well connected by public transport and has ample cycle parking in addition to free onsite car-parking with over 40 EV charging points. The Liverpool centre is part of the University campus and is only a short walk from the city centre and Lime Street station.

The NOC has a hybrid working approach where for most positions staff can work from home up to 2 days per week. If you are interested in this position, but require a more flexible working arrangement, please contact the recruitment team using the contact details below.
