We are currently recruiting for a full-time Senior Developer on a permanent contract based as a homeworker in the UK.
The primary purpose of this post is building and iteratively improving user-centered digital services for the Heritage Fund. In practice, this will mean services that have a front-end on our website, and a back-end of private web-based admin interfaces. You will work with another Senior Developer and other developers, and together you will make all key choices around languages, frameworks, hosting services, and deployment approaches.
The first project you will be working on is the continued implementation of the Heritage Fund\’s grant management system. It is no understatement to say that this system is the heart of the Heritage Fund\’s work, and the impact of delivering it successfully will be substantial. The system combines Salesforce with other web technologies, and your team will have direct control over the technology and design choices, as well as direct control over their implementation.
Team Structure and Working Practices
Team structure and working practices will be informed by the Government Digital Service\’s service design manual, and teams will be sprint-based and generally agile in nature.
If you are excited about helping ensure that heritage is inclusive and accessible to everyone, for now and future generations, then we want to hear from you.
Applications close on 14 October 2025. Interviews are expected to take place on 27 October 2025.
Our Values
- Inclusive of all aspects of heritage, people, and communities

The other days in the week employees may work from home.
Disability Confident
A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer.
