The Secretary, National League U19 Alliance, is responsible for the day-to-day administration, regulation and operational delivery of the U19 Alliance. This role ensures the smooth running of all League activities, including player registrations, fixture management, disciplinary processes, events and communication with member clubs of the U19 and Academy Divisions and stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the full daily operation of the competition, and oversee administrative processes across the department including processing player registrations and managing all team sheet activity.
  • Provide professional guidance and support to member clubs and ensure they are correctly affiliated with their County Football Associations and adhere to FA and League rules and regulations.
  • Schedule and organise regular committee management meetings.
  • Coordinate discipline commissions and personal hearings.
  • Organise the fixtures for the League in conjunction with ATOS.
  • Ensure FA Full Time and IFAS are updated with fixture changes, including new dates and kick-off times.
  • Rectify concerns raised in referees' reports or match-related incidents.
  • Ensure League rules have been approved by the FA, ready for approval at the AGM.
  • Arrange for periodic pitch inspections and provide feedback to ensure necessary improvements are made.
  • Plan and coordinate the League Cup competitions, covering scheduling, venue bookings and serve as liaison with member clubs.
  • Execute matchday and event operations, including Cup Finals, ensuring match official appointments, production of programmes and preparation of team sheets.
  • Coordinate the logistics for the AGM and prepare the annual report.
  • Update and maintain League policies and procedures.
  • Handle the Constitution of Divisions with assistance from members of the committee.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for potential sponsors, partners or stakeholders interested in supporting the League.
  • Represent the League at fixtures, events and meetings as required.
  • Oversee initiatives for league growth and improving overall competition standards.
  • Support the creation of the League Handbook and Club Directory and coordinate articles for National League publications.
  • Assist at National League Promotion Finals where required and coordinate the creation and distribution of relevant promotional material.
