Work Pattern: This role is available as either a remote-first position with regular travel to NFYFC Stoneleigh Park office for key meetings and collaborative work or a hybrid arrangement working from NFYFC's Stoneleigh Park office (typically two or three days per week) and from home. For this option, candidates would live within commutable distance of Stoneleigh.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to locations in England and Wales to meet with stakeholders and attend events as necessary.
Contract: Full-time (37½ hrs per week) with some weekends and evening work.
The National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs is recruiting a Fundraising Manager to lead delivery of a set of practical, short-term fundraising priorities while helping to build stronger systems and confidence for the future. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced charity fundraiser who is comfortable working in a maturing fundraising function, where tools and ways of working are being developed and income needs stabilising rather than rapidly expanded.
The role will focus primarily on trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, and alumni support, with a strong emphasis on retention, stewardship and proposition clarity.
The Fundraising Manager will:
- Deliver the agreed Fundraising Quick Wins, focused on stabilising and protecting income over the next 6–12 months
- Manage and grow income from trusts and foundations, with a strong focus on renewals and relationship management
- Develop and use clear, standardised fundraising propositions based on NFYFC’s existing work
- Support the development of corporate partnerships, including pilot partnerships with banks and other aligned organisations
- Strengthen alumni support messaging, including subscription reframing, storytelling and voluntary uplifts
- Introduce consistent, light-touch stewardship and reporting for all major funders
- Work closely with the CEO, senior team and Board to support fundraising planning and confidence
- Track fundraising activity, pipelines and risks clearly, supporting stronger financial governance.
What we’re looking for:
- 4–7 years’ experience in charity fundraising, ideally across trusts and corporate income
- Strong experience of trust and grant fundraising, including applications, renewals and reporting
- Experience of developing or packaging fundraising propositions
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, trustees and non-fundraising colleagues
- A practical, organised and delivery-focused approach
- Comfort working in an organisation where fundraising processes are being built and refined, and having input to how these are developed.
- Experience of working with membership organisations, youth charities or rural communities is welcome but not essential.

This is a democratic membership organisation comprising of approx. 22,000 YFC members of 560+ Young Farmers’ Clubs in England & Wales which are grouped in 47 county federations. The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs supports the clubs and county federations achieve the charity objectives through a range of programmes and training underpinned by youth work principles. Programmes of work are designed to offer opportunities for participation, learning, fun and personal development to YFC members aged 10 to 28 years and to those supporting them in their roles across England and Wales.
