Radcliffe Ladies Choir

Radcliffe Ladies Choir (Radcliffe-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire) is looking for a pianist to play for choir rehearsals on Wednesday evenings in term time, as well as accompanying the choir in concerts
(currently 2 or 3 per year).

The accompanist is a crucial role in the life of the choir.

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings in term time between 7.30 and 9.30pm. When there is a half term holiday with two weeks off for local schools, we rehearse one week and have the other off.

We currently rehearse in St Mary's Church Hall, Main Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent NG12 2FD. There are usually two main concerts per year (July/December) held in Radcliffe or one of the surrounding villages. There are sometimes other smaller concerts and events.

The accompanist plays for all rehearsals and concerts, demonstrating vocal lines on the piano and providing a solid framework for the choir to rehearse. The repertoire is wide-ranging, from classical to pop and just about everything in between. The two previous summer programmes have been "Stage and Screen" and "Music for summer's evening".

The post carries remuneration, which is agreed between the accompanist and committee.

Our present accompanist is relocating abroad at the end of the year.

The closing date is 23 October 2026. Auditions and interviews will take place during November, with the successful candidate taking up the post in early 2027.
