Since NFU Mutual was established in 1910, we’ve been committed to providing a broad range of General Insurance and Financial Planning Services. Our Financial Advisers support customers across the UK with life insurance, pensions, investments, wealth management and Inheritance Tax planning. We have an in-house training team that equips advisers with the right tools and ongoing training to help them feel confident and supported in their roles.

As a Financial Services Training Improvement Consultant, you’ll take a lead role in continually enhancing the training and development of more than 75 Financial Advisers, along with our Non advised Sales (NAS) colleagues. You’ll design and deliver comprehensive induction programmes, collaborate with Operations, Risk and Governance teams, and ensure our financial advisers & NAS employees remain up to date and compliant with Life Sales processes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver training that helps our users feel confident to implement changes and ensure they work in line with our advice standards.
  • Support updates to Life Sales processes, systems (including Point of Sale), modelling tools and documentation—ensuring our Financial Advisers can provide effective, compliant advice.
  • Identify and report issues or risks, recommending practical mitigation plans that meet audit and regulatory expectations.
  • Deliver short term projects and activities to agreed quality standards.

This role is based at our Tiddington Head Office near Stratford upon Avon. We recognise the importance of a positive work-life balance, so while the role involves office based delivery, we also support hybrid working, which is typically around two days per week from home outside of peak activity periods.

Qualifications

You are highly motivated, proactive, and focused on delivering efficient business process improvements. With a strong background in a Financial Services or Advisory setting, you hold a QCF Level 4 qualification (Diploma in Financial Planning/DipFA) and thrive in a fast paced training environment. You work collaboratively across teams and departments, building strong relationships to support effective training delivery. To join our team, you will also bring:

  • Experience working within Financial Services functions, providing support and/or training.
  • Strong technical understanding of financial services regulatory regimes, including COBs.
  • Good knowledge of tax and Financial Planning solutions and products.
  • Experience using training software - ideally Articulate.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
