About the role:

Join NFU Mutual in a newly evolved Senior IT Scrum Master role that brings together agile delivery, people leadership and operational management. Reporting into the IT leadership team, you'll coordinate incoming work, manage priorities, oversee delivery progress and lead a team of engineers, while working closely with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers. Day to day, you'll lead agile ceremonies across multiple teams, facilitate collaboration, manage dependencies and help remove barriers that could impact outcomes. You'll coach and mentor colleagues, support their development and create an environment where teams can perform at their best, while maintaining a strong focus on governance, delivery outcomes and continuous improvement. As a senior member of the agile community, you'll influence delivery practices, improve operational processes and support wider transformation and change initiatives across NFU Mutual.

This role offers significant visibility across IT programmes and the opportunity to help shape how agile ways of working evolve across Technology. This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford-Upon-Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work-life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.

About you:

You're a credible agile leader who builds strong relationships across teams, suppliers and stakeholders. Highly collaborative and influential, you excel at stakeholder management, using strong communication skills, sound judgement and pragmatic thinking to drive progress and achieve outcomes. Organised and accountable, you effectively balance competing priorities while maintaining a focus on governance, delivery and continuous improvement. Comfortable leading people and driving change, you coach and mentor teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, ownership and high performance.

  • Scrum Master experience within technology delivery environments
  • Pragmatic agile leadership experience including delivery across multiple teams
  • Strong stakeholder management and supplier management experience
  • Experience operating within a regulated industry, insurance or financial services environment
  • Strong governance and process discipline, with knowledge of agile delivery tools such as Azure DevOps
