Claims Inspector North East Region

Overview

Investigate liability and motor claims and report your findings to our claims colleagues. Field-based role with travel across North East. Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme or Car Allowance.

Responsibilities

• Investigate loss or injury claims and negotiate liability in accordance with industry codes and NFU Mutual procedures.
• Ensure efficient, fair, and appropriate outcomes for customers whilst controlling claims costs.
• Investigate, negotiate, and report on the quantum, liability, and recommendations for the next steps of each claim.
• Follow NFU Mutual's policies and industry codes.
• Manage and investigate claims within a geographical area.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate with Policyholders, Claims teams, Agencies, and other parties.
• Investigate potential breaches and complaints in accordance with policies and SLAs, ensuring fair outcomes and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

• Professional experience investigating liability or strong experience handling liability claims.
• Excellent knowledge of employers' liability, public liability, and motor claims.
• Demonstrable track record of claims investigation work, assessing liability and gathering evidence to support case decisions.
• Efficient report writing skills.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to handle difficult conversations and present information efficiently to different audiences.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Great organisational and time management skills.
• A self-starter with an inquisitive mindset.
• Excellent influencing skills.
• Empathetic approach.
