The National Community Law Project is expanding its volunteer legal team. Company Description The National Community Law Project CIC is a community-focused social enterprise working to make legal support more accessible and affordable. We assist people who may struggle to access traditional legal services, helping them understand their rights, navigate legal processes and prepare their cases effectively. Our work covers areas including housing, family, commercial, employment, discrimination, benefits and civil disputes. Role Description The role involves supporting clients in preparing case summaries, organising supporting documentation, and drafting clear, structured information for review by legal professionals. Volunteers will help clients understand procedural steps, guide them in gathering relevant evidence, and ensure materials are presented in a logical and professional format. The role includes researching legal issues under supervision, liaising with partner organisations, and assisting in identifying suitable legal representation for clients. Volunteers will work collaboratively within a team, maintain accurate records, and uphold confidentiality and ethical standards at all times. *Open Volunteer Roles* Legal Case Leads Overseeing cases and supporting other volunteers to ensure work is progressed accurately and efficiently. Applicants for Case Lead positions must have completed their law degree. Legal Case Support Supporting legal research, document preparation, evidence organisation and general case administration. Legal Case Workers Working on live matters, communicating with clients, conducting research and assisting with legal correspondence and case preparation. Qualifications Case Support and Case Worker applicants must be in the final year of a law degree or have completed their legal studies. Case Lead applicants must have completed their law degree. Applicants must be able to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week. We are looking for reliable, motivated people who are prepared to take responsibility for their work and remain committed to their allocated cases.
