Summary of Role
We are looking for a qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or similar) finance team member with strong finance system implementation experience, excellent analytical and data manipulation skills, and a track record of independently improving processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Finance lead for upgraded Deltek system implementation and introduction of related process changes.
- Understand revenue recognition principles and requirements and ensure they are effectively translated into process and system functionality.
- Drive introduction and standardisation of finance reports within PowerBI to improve efficiency and support decision-making processes.
- Build relationships and collaborate with Research colleagues & help them improve ways of working.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to support Research teams in managing project finances and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop clear guidance for new processes.
- Prepare and deliver internal training for non-finance colleagues.
- Deal with requests for general data and any ad hoc duties.
- To perform any other reasonable duties that NatCen may require that are consistent with the broad nature of the job.
